Hi guys over the last 3 days my sony bravia 55' tv has started doing random re-starts, i can be watching tv and all of a sudden black screen then Sony appears and then those daft twirling coloured symbals for Android then it turns on bck to normal. This can happen every 30mins or 60 mins or 90 mins. Being an electrician i have checked mains power and it perfect, but this is driving me crazy. Any assistance welcome. George.

Hope you get a solution as my sony 55 does the same thing 
has been for years,intermittent though
ihave read that unplugging it then holding power button on tv works.did not for me,same with remote.neither worked for me

My Bravia did the same a couple of years ago. A hard reset fixed it.
Press and hold the Power button and Volume Down (-) buttons on the TV (not the remote), and while holding the buttons, plug the power cord back in. Hold the buttons until a green LED light appears near the Sony logo on the TV front.

I think we need to do a hard reset on our Sony TV. The integrated apps have really slowed down which is a total nuisance for the kids. Probably coincided with a poor software update.
