Every now and then a certain lower vocal frequencies causes reverberation like a broken speaker..i cant reproduce it with a tone test...its as if the speaker is hitting up against the tv case. For now i just flex the screen a little and the problem goes away for a few weeks. Probably should RMA it but got an inkling its going to be a simple fix.

Sounds like you werent tempted to open the case and check the speaker was secured well and you just work around it?....If it was out of warranty id give it go but in case something really goes much worse id be afraid of loosing warranty.

lol no. Think a old Panasonic TV made the casing resonate also. Couldn't mute the speakers without having a mute icon on the screen so I physically disconnected the internal speakers

We've got a similar issue with our living room TV (Panasonic).

Certain frequencies cause horrible vibration through the case. It bugs the hell out of me, but we don't ever use it for critical viewing, so we've just left it.

With TV's getting ever thinner and lighter, rigidity has to go out of the window sooner or later.

Even pair of £50 Wharfedale Diamond speakers are a massive upgrade over TV speaker sound

Agreed. I've even got serveral pairs of old speakers in my parents loft that I've been meaning to sell...

For us, at the moment, it's not worth doing anything with that TV or the living room to be honest as we're fortunate enough to have a dedicated room set aside for movies & music.
