Sony Delivery Estimate

Hey guys,

I'm looking at ordering a custom built laptop from Sony and it states delivery time of around 2-3 weeks.

This seems quite a long time

. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of ordering from Sony, and if so how long did it take to arrive?

I ordered my custom vaio on the 24/10 and hope to get it tomorrow 5/11. Dont forget you can get 5% back on Quidco, I forgot and missed out on over £50

Yeah, noticed that

. Every little helps!

Guess it's worth the wait, I'm after an ATI 5650, none of the next-day-delivery prebuilt ones have that, just the 5470 at best

I took the plunge an ordered a customm built Sony E series yesterday,

We expect your VAIO order to be shipped to you between 12.11.2010 and 19.11.2010. Please note that this is an
estimated shipping time. We will send you an update if this estimate changes.

Pretty quick even at the latest of 19th! If it arrives the 12th, thats only 4 day delivery time, and if the 19th that's only 10!

That's true, but from a quick look around it seems that estimate is usually pretty good, sony themselves said 2-3 weeks before purchasing, hopefully I've ordered at a good time

And tell me about, I almost went for a pre-built, but I was after a Vaio and none of them had a ATi 5650, just 5470 or Intel

. Will be worth the wait!

Should be quite a capable machine hopefully

720p, I ordered the day before the free 1080p upgrade

I might call up and try and blag it, but I'm not too fussed, I doubt I'll game at 1080p anyway so things wont look so good at non-native resolution and apparantly 1080p can be a bit too small sometimes on the 15.6" screen.

I ordered a customised sony vaio e series, took just shy of 4 weeks! (estimated delivery time was 3-4 weeks so couldn't argue). Was in no rush however...was for my brother!

I'm hoping the estimate Sony gave me is accurate, should be about right
