I'd like to ask a few questions about the Vaio E series.

I was going to buy a ASUS CULV based notebook but I'm looking for a little more power. So I think I'm going to opt for a i5 based Vaio E series with a HD screen 15", and a bluray drive along with the basic Radeon they offer. But I was hoping someone in the OCUK community might have purchased one and could offer a few opinions on their build quality. I had a quick play with one today and they seem fine, but before shelling out £618, I'd like a mini review :)

Just to warn you, battery life on them is terrible. Sub 2-hours from what I read. Oh, and if it's a model with the ATi 5650 then take note that it is down-clocked.

I've got an i3 version with 500gb drive and the basic Radeon. It's an excellent laptop for the money though as stated above the battery life is poor but that doesn't bother me.

Many people have stated how lovely it looks which is an added bonus. :)

I'm thinking about buying an E-Series notebook this week to take advantage of the free blu-ray offer (and in time for Xmas!).

My only question is this: I want to buy the 14" model, should I go with the 1366x768 screen or the 1600x900?

Can anyone give me some advice on what the difference is R.E. HD and the pros and cons of both as I really don't know much about screen tech.

Thanks.
