The next Sony Ericsson XPERIA flagship model has been leaked. It’s codename is Anzu and will supposedly be released as the XPERIA X12.Eldar Murtazin has confirmed that this will be called the XPERIA X12. The first thing that strikes you about the device is the really slim waistline and the large screen. The design seems to be very similar to the XPERIA X10 but the edges are different.

The phone does look very thin and we guess it’s easily below the 10mm thickness mark. The handset has a 4.3″ display and HDMI output. The pictures show the phone running on Android 2.1 but sources say that the phone will be shipping with Android 2.3 Gingerbread preloaded.

They say that the camera can capture Full HD video and we can see that it has an LED flash from the pictures. So it may be one of the first mobile phone with 1080p Full HD video recording. It also has a front facing video call camera.

Hmmmmm...not sure on the looks - looks sleek and tacky all at the same time. Top it off with SE support and i think i may pass.

Yeah, sleek design but a bit plasticy (very feminine too)

The first phone to get Qualcomms MSM8x60 snapdragon? (1.2GHz duel core A9/Adreno 220) 1080p recording would suggest so!

The X11 should have the 1.2 Dual Core Quadcomm (WP7). The X12 aka "Anzu" should feature a TI OMAP4 1.5GHz processor :D;):cool:

I'm still quite sceptical of this, the images are terrible and the device itself could have easily been made by someone.

Looking really impressive if true though :)

toooo big

and why back to 3 buttons when the psp phone prototype (that i dont believe is really it but engadget swear upon) has 4 buttons

on another button note they are rubbish design anyway . paint wore straight off them on both my x10s

Why would ANYONE buy a Sony Ericsson android device after the farce that was no upgrades for the X10?

The X10 has had a constant stream of updates throughout its lifespan so far.

True. However, the X10 HAS had update since it was released! So to make a sweeping statement that it hasn't had any updates is totally incorrect.

He was talking about 2.1, the important update for it, which took ages coming out. Now its still behind the times as most other stuff has 2.2 :p

Yes there were a few earlier updates, mainly to fix some of the very bad/crippling problems with the phone.

Gosh wow I take it all back, it's only 9 months behind the update curve.

Point still stands.

agreed. X10 failed when it was released with 1.6 when it could have had 2 from start.

SE Fail

Will not be touching this phone.

The wife X10 is just so slow its laughable even after the 2.1 upgrade & it STILL does not support multi touch.

it never was going to support multi touch and they said that from the start

if you bought a car that stated no air conditioning would you be upset that it didnt have it :/

your exaggerating slowness too unless its broke and missing the good points such as camera app and quality/sound quality/battery life
