That's insane... from the numbers involved I can only guess its this they've been dishing out.

Still, I suppose nothing says "we don't expect our £425 console to sell on its own merits" better than giving away a £2300 TV with it...

You know there was a time when Sony were a much loved company offering some great technology without question.

It may all be good PR with the TVs and taxi ride home but good on them.

For once, a console launch that has actually made people really happy and none of this desparate clawing to get a console.

Hmm, that's all very good but what about all the other gamers who have been waiting for this? Do we not get anything free because we weren’t in London for the launch!? IMO Sony should be giving everyone who buys a PS3 something free. Maybe not a TV but something to make up for the long delay we got stung with!

Its like these people who moan when they don't get in on the deals that websites do for short amounts of time, they feel they are owed something because they weren't in the right place at the right time.

Well it didn't say they got free HDMI cables so when they get home they'll have to connect the t.v. with crappy composite cables.
