Sony gone to far ?

i dont find it offensive, but i think it shocking that a big company would use this to get people talking :)
 
I am black and i dont see the problem. It is an advertising for god's sake. Besides black and white ladies have fight on almost daily basis around my area.

Is like saying people will get offended over FCUK brand, actually i think people did but got over it.

I'm pretty sure Sony are well aware of the connotations of this advert though, and that any publicity is often good publicity.

But like Superdude I don't think it should be seen to be offensive either.

What if they released the white PSP first?
 
Neither advertisers nor Sony are stupid any everything that is offensive in that advert is intended to be there.

There have been a good many similar adverts over the years that have offended people from all walks of life.

So as a person of ethnic background I shrug my shoulders at this and will show Sony I too have an opinion of my own by not purchasing one of there products and continue to enjoy my DSL.

Actually, i've seen a White PSP 6 months back.

If anything, everyone is ripping off Apple's Ipod-esq look these days.

its a colour scheme ffs, and yes I saw white psp's last november ( and i would agree its more to do with ipods than nintendo)

the advert is there to be discussed - if you can get offended by something being called a "manhole cover" then this will easily offend also , but in my mind its political correctness gone haywire

If that is what white looks like when shes 'coming' i dont think i want one :D

As for them copying others with the white idea, i doubt it, my brother imported a white PSP when they first came out, he was told it was one of the first into the country. It doesnt look that bad either!

Where did you get that from? :p

If anything nintendo ripped sony off as the white PSP was out before the white DS/DSL

As for the advert...meh, not hugely offensive but not too clever either

There is nothing wrong with it. how the hell can you steal a colour? but i prefer the black one myself anyway.
