Hello,
Before I provide my feedback on these, I would like to make it very clear that I am not an audiophile.
I currently own the following Philips Fidelio X1 & X2, DT 990 Pro I also have the Sennheiser GSX that I switched out for the Creative G6.
The two main reasons I wanted to switch to earbuds was
1. I was getting fed up with headphone head
2. I wanted something to be used with VR and PC
I did some research into gaming focused earbuds and found the market is quite lacking. Out of the small choices, I found the SONY Inzones to be the better choice.
Build quality: is as expected top quality.
Battery life: while I haven't managed to run these down yet they do claim up to 12 hours without the case charge included.
Sound quality: At first I was a bit disappointed in the sound. It sounded flat and echoey like listening in a tin can it was shocking, thankfully having found out that on PC it defaulted to the CHAT device by default and I needed to select GAME device changing that brought out the earbud's true potential.
The GAME device is set at a max 16bit 48000 DVD at 7.1 within Windows I was a bit disappointed coming from G6 with 24bit 48000, but honestly my ears I can not notice any difference.
Now how am I supposed to tell you that these sound compared to my other devices all I can say is I am very impressed with the quality of the sound. My go to band Pink Floyd sounds amazing I can hear everything you would expect, the base is great and the detail is all there.
Gaming sound: I have tried so far a handful of games and these carry on impressing me the sound stage for such a small bud is very good. I could hear all the footsteps and sound cues as I was expecting.
Software: without this software on a PC you will lose a lot of the features that make the experience. Noise cancelling is top quality I can with a press of a button have an open sounding headphone or a closed sounding headphone with great flexibility to just close out all sounds around you.
You can customise the buttons on the buds but to my disappointment and so far this is the only disappointment you can not switch off the 360 audio with a button press. You need to tab out and switch it off from the software this is honestly a very strange missing feature.
Either way so far I do like to game with this feature disabled.
Purchase price £129
All in all, I am very happy with these.
