Does anyone have this tv, and is it any good?

I'm hoping to pick on up tomorrow, to use for both my xbox one and my pc, I got the £200 lg 32inch on offer at asda, and the input lag is horrific, i see players sprinting on fifa and it's like they've got a white shadow outline running behind them.

I've got the 32. Very pleased with it.
Humax Freesat HD box and PS3 both look great.
It streams from Netflix and plays movies over WiFi from my WD nas drive perfectly.

Just bought the 42" version after reading reviews on this model. Input Lag was some of the lowest scores on the HDTV reviews.

Really impressed with it for Gaming on PS4 and Blu-Rays. I really cant find much to fault.

My old 32" Samsung UE6000 LCD/LED had poor input lag, really noticeable on the cross-hairs in BF4. The cross-hair would ghost about 1 CM either way while turning, hence buying the KDL42W653 and I wasn't disappointed.
On BF4 I feel I can see much further with much more detail although this is probably a placebo effect. Without going back to the Samsung and testing I couldn't say for sure. The standard settings on it for gaming are ok. I did need to do some tweaking to get it to my preference though. The back-light needed turning up and the brightness slightly adjusted with it. Also more color added as the hue's seemed a bit like an 80's TV recording without more added. All these very simple to correct though and picture is again personal preference.

The Sony doesn't shine so much with standard definition (same as all larger screens tbf) but I rarely watch normal TV on it and if I do its mainly the HD channels anyway which look great. This was one area ironically the Samsung was stronger in albeit 3 1/2 years old now. Most people would complain at the lack of HDMI inputs to the Sony, but as its all routed through my Pioneer receiver there are no issues. The Sony has ARC so 5.1 goodness on the HD Channels.

All in all the Sony is a cracking TV! Wouldn't bother looking at the W8 or the W9 unless the NFC for the Sony Xperia Z1 phone on the W8 interests you or if you have a spare grand for the W9 and the "Triluminos Display" on it if that interests you.

Got the 42" version today, only just set it up as I had a few drinks earlier and didn't want to mess with it whilst i had a buzz on, and so far so good.

Had to turn the auto screen dimmer thing off as the picture was too dark for me with it on. I took the settings from my 40" Samsung's picture then set the Sony up the same and turns out the picture is how I like it with virtually the same settings, though i have had to turn the colour down a fair bit from my Samsung's settings as it was too colourful. I also set the colour to cool.

The only thing that's going to take a bit of getting used to is the size. The 42" Sony is physically smaller than my old 40" Samsung andas it doesn't take quite as much space on my TV stand as the Sammy did my, admittedly slightly drink addled, brain canot grasp it's actually a bigger screen TV.

Oh and I love the freaking bezel. What bezel eh? :-)

I have the 42'' version nice tv any ideas on settings for when playing the PS3 I have it in gamemode, thats about it I have not tweaked the colours, brightness etc.

Another guy here with the 42" probably the best TV ive had for gaming, HDTV and blurays also look awesome

really nice menus too, my only snag is the smart/catch up is not as good as my Samsung Ue32F4510 upstairs
