Sony MDR-EX85 opinions

Does anyone have these headphones?

I got them to go with my new Ipod but am a bit dubious about the bass performance, there seems very little of it and the Ipod's crappy EQ settings hardly let me change it. Using "treble reducer" EQ probably benefits me most but still not the best when volume is turned up.

I take it there is no way to set custom EQ's on the Ipod?

What headphones are renouwned for bass?

Unfortunately I listen to metal/rock music so bass is a must

Read up about it now, don't think I would like to do it. Just need new headphones!!

I'm all for these MP3 players with great sound but anything under 30Gb just doesn't suit me unfortunately.

I nearly bought the iAudio7 due to rave reviews about the sound quality but 8gb? I have around 22Gb music, I want it all at my disposal (sp).

I know they've just announced a 16Gb version is coming but this still doesn't compare to the 30, 40, 60 an 80Gb Ipods. I'm happy with the sound quality of the Ipod, just stuck some vids on it too, looks pretty decent. All for £140.
