Sony MP3 player plug charger

Hi guys,

Hoping you can help me - I had a Sony NWZ-A816 MP3 player which I gave to relatives overseas recently but totally forgot it only charges via USB as a default.

Unfortunately they dont have regular access to a PC so Im after a plug charger that definitely works with this MP3 player. Ive looked on Sony website and I cant find if they make one and Im sure Sony (like iPods) are fussy regards to what USB plug chargers work.

I was hoping someone here could direct me to a product that definitely works so I can get it and post it to them. I dont need it to be travel ready as theyll have the normal adapters already...

P.S. How sensitive is the Sony when it comes to charging - not sure how good the quality of electricity is over there

You can buy USB chargers that slot into any mains socket.

Yep - but not all work with Sony/iPod MP3 players due to the way they take the charge - kinda well known, especially for the iPod...

The Apple iPod chargers work fine without any problems on the Sony MP3 players.

Any recommendations?

Ive found that there is a specific Sony charger so Im probably just gonna get that - its £18 so not too bad...

Part number is ACNWUM50.CEK in case anyone else is looking...
