I want to start using my old MZ-N1 for my portable audio again since my Ipod is crap.

I just cant get OpenMG to see It is connected at all.
I dont have my CD that came with it so im forced to use Downloaded stuff. Is there any other software I can use that might have better luck?

Much as I loved my trusty MZ-N1, and was reluctant to upgrade to an ipod (the only reason I did was that my brother bought me one for my birthday as a surprise), I have to admit that my new nano is leaps and bounds better. Probably because the Sony software was so bad in all honesty. Sorry, I know that's not the reason you posted, but I'm intrigued to see that you've moved back to net MD.

Sound quality is better on an MD too IMO, better than my H10 is anyways, see how the zen vision m rracks up when i get it.

I dunno about the N1, but the vision has nothing on my A3000. Can the N1 do PCM?

The reason I have gone back to it is for the following reasons.

Ipod
1, 4th gen, Its scratched and ugly
2, the battery is aful
3, the ipod locks up every now and then
4, Its actually now broke.

I like my Minidisk because it was there first and ive kept it in good order, plus I can have it in my back pocket and get good practical use from the bundled remote.

My N1 has a speed feature which is really really good as I listen to most of my music slightly sped up.

I will probably have a nano one day or a newer Ipod video but Im in no rush for it.

Never really heard of anyone doing this. Im wondering if you keep the original pitch, or if they go a bit squeaky?
