Sony nex-5T with 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens

hi, i bought this camera in 2nd hand. it come with a 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 OSS lens instead the original 18-55mm lens.

should i sell the 16-50mm lens and buy 18-55mm?

i am just a amateur photographer.

The 16-50 is a new version of the 18-55 I think, so it should be fine.

ohh, i didnt know! I thought all nex-5 come with 18-55mm lens as standard. thanks

The 16-50 gets a fair bit of bad press but I got decent results with mine. You'll need to ensure you enable lens profile corrections in LR because the distortion is horrible, but that's the price you pay for having a compact wide angle lens.
