I saw this and had a play around in a camera store the other day and really liked the look of it. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to cameras but that piece of kit definately made me want to know more about them and possibly buy one.

IMO they look ugly as sin.

But there is probably a mthod to their madness and more than likely make up for it in quality

At this price (not OcUK's fault) you're better off buying a Nikon D3000 or Nikon D3100. It's a great starter kit and you get much better quality lenses and infinitely better flashes.

A second hand D5000 would also be a perfect starter kit for somebody wanting better photos.

I can understand where most of you guys are coming from but the thing that is most attractive is that its a lot smaller and slimmer yet can offer near to or almost SLR quality (well thats what the guy said anyways). I pretty much come from a point and shoot camera bought very cheaply which does its job but if I were to go on holiday and stuff I'd like it to be handy and not so bulky looking.
