I'm helping a friend to fix his laptop. It's Sony NR38S. Some of the keyboard not working and only a few letters that work. He said there's a bit of water splashed on his laptop and around keyboard area and i'm assuming it went inside the laptop itself. And since then the keyboard not working.

Any idea how to fix this?

Thanks

Just tried with cheap keyboard and mouse connected to usb. Keyboard didn't work as well first time, only mouse and then restarted, mouse and keyboard working fine (external). So does it need new keyboard for this or maybe motherboard? As i heard for laptop if keyboard doesn't work might need new mobo for it?

I tried again with my external keyboard and mouse and it doesn't work now. So sometimes work sometimes doesn't?

its possible that the internal keyboard is causing the external not to work also if its shorting out, try unpluggin the internal one, its usually a few screws on the base and some clips around the top or bottom of the keyboard, or possibly screws under the top strip of the keyboard, not sure on this model.

I took it apart already, cleaned inside and still the same. I told them to send it back to Sony and see what they say
