I'm about to get this MP3 player delivered.

I couldn't quite afford the bluetoothed version and tbh I'd rather not have wireless headphones. I can write up a review if people want but I think there are two fairly new ones here on this player's younger brothers.

I'm just wondering - does this come pre-packaged with software (I presume at least drivers) or is third party or just Windows Vista sufficient for me to use it. I will never use the video function - just use it for music playback.

Thanks for any help or tips offered! :)

Excellent - can I use this with Winamp? It has the PFS logo dotted around it so I'm hoping I can just start using it straight away with either the aforementioned software and/or Windows.

Any more tips etc.? :)

Ok I tried using Winamp anyway and so far so good. There appear to be three ways I can send music over, either using the send function over Winamp or just drag and drop. I can also create my own folders and drop what I want into them which is kind of cool.

The player's quite neat, though I don't understand the logic of the "stand" lol. Quite bizarrely enough the noise isolation earphones sent with it (EX082) DO fit my ears, I guess there's a first time for everything as I have stupidly small ear holes.

I can post photos and what not later if anybody asks for it :)

Ive got the bluetooth version, and the stand is a litttle plastic clip the inserts into the back. If you lie the player horizontally its ideal for watching videos hands free . . . . . And I never even unpacked the disc. I just drag and drop. None of the syncing malarky. Thats exactly why I didnt like my iPod that much.

Indeed fella I totally agree. I can't stand anything else apart from drag and drop and this player does it very well. I don't even know what playlists are for lol.

So far so good - it's just on its initial charge atm :)

Just starting to listen to a bit of music now - my word it's a step up from the Phillips Sports MP3 player I used to have (which is less than a year old)! The in earphones aren't too bad and actually fit me which is a huge surprise (Ex082).

The only complaint so far is that the earphone wires are very flimsey.

How much did you pay for it?

£66inc Royal Mail Special Delivery

Have you watched any videos on it? Any good? what's the rough size of a 2 hour movie and best viewable quality?

I'm afraid not - and I don't really plan to as I wanna take my laptop with me around. Therefore I can't tell you if it's any good. There's a review of it's bigger brother on these forums where somebody reviewed the video quality. If memory serves me correct this person ended up annoyed that there was an extra cost for editing films. Don't quote me on that though.

Thinking of getting one to take on holiday.

Do it. I'm only using the earphones accompanied with this item which are the Ex082 noise cancelling ones which are fairly cheap. Nevertheless the setup produces much better sound then my previous setup of a Philips sports mp3 player (PSA615) and Sennheiser PMX200 headphones.
