Couldn't see a thread on this. So what do people think? Yes its a bridge camera and yes £3000+ worth of DSLR/full frame kit will be better but I love what they have tried to offer.

I haven't handled one and the price is quite high but I think its a great step in the right direction for bridge cameras. Something started by the Panasonic FX200 with its 2.8 lens which was good but always limited by its sensor. Now we have a bigger sensor plus more of a DSLR focus.

For a camera to put in a bag as an all in one it looks very promising, only thing is any time I have handled a bridge camera they always felt lacking. Look forward to some reviews and price drops :)

Anything game changing would involve an even bigger sensor an even faster lens and a massive price and weight increase. Short of redesigning how lenses work there will always be some compromise. It certainly stands out from the other bridge cameras for me and if they push in this direction maybe others will follow and further advancement and better prices will follow. Hopefully.

edit: The price could do with dropping but how much would you have to spend to get a similar range/quality? (genuine question as out of the loop when it comes to cameras)
