Looking at getting a 19" TFT and saw this at just under £200 including delivery, I've read a few reviews and it appears that it isn't very good for games but as I'm not a gamer it's not an issue. I'm looking for a stylish monitor (ideally under £200) that will be good for general internet use, and perform well in programs like photoshop. I ocassionally view movies but it's pretty rare and I'm not that bothered about the performance in that area anyway.

I also quite like the look of the Samsung SM913N at and maybe the Sony SDM-S95AS 19"

Any suggestions? I've read the sticky but the reviews seem to be geared towards gaming.

well the HS95P uses a TN Film panel (16ms) as does the Samsung 913N. The 913N is a much newer screen and performance, not only in responsiveness, has improved a fair amount since the panel of the HS95B. I think as a non gamer however that you probably want to avoid TN Film panels if you can, but this might bhe tricky with the budget. They are more aimed at gamers and suffer a little in other areas, most notably viewing angles, black depth, colour depth and movie playback. The Sony S95AS is using an MVA panel (albeit a little old) and should offer better static image quality than TN Film models. It will offer you wider viewing angles, a true 8 bit colour depth (as opposed to 6 bit on those TN Film models), and a better black depth. If you can get this within budget it might be a better choice
Cheers Baddass I think I'll go for the SDM-S95AS then (well the SDM-S95AB as I just realised the AS is silver and I want the black one!). Are there any other MVA panel motitors you'd recommend?

EDIT: actually is the S95AB VGA only? Is not having DVI only going to be an issue for gaming purposes?

Cheers, that 1905 is proving a bit tricky to find, I've found the 1907FP though, is that VA? Not to keen on the Belinea so I'm gonna leave that one. Sony is cheaper that the 1907 but I'm just concerned about the possible lack of DVI, but again I don't know how much difference DVI will make???

Damm, the 1907 is TN isn't it

The Formac Gallery Xtreme 1900 19" is pretty nice looking, is the 8ms one MVA or is that just the Gallery 1900 OX 25ms one?
