Sony Sports MP3 player?

i have some reward points to cash in on my SONY credit card, i got them free, and saw i could get a 512 Sony Sports MP3, or a hatful of DVD's

just wondering what peeps think of this? am i forced to use SONY software? or can i drag and drop?
