Sony STR DN 1080 or Denon AVRX 2600H

Looking to replace my old pioneer hpt-071 system which comes with a Pioneer VSX 321(that's having g hdmi issues). Also got a new LG 65" E9 so looking to change the speakers and subwoofer in phases.

Currently between Sony and Denon but there are reports of ARC issues with Sony but I can't seem to find much issues with the X2600H.
Any advice what to go for?

Sony user here and did same comparison a while back when picking my system. In end Sony Centre now and then has refurbished units with warranty so got mine for £279 which made it a no brainier. However outside that, from most reviews they both seem to be largely similar in terms of performance and end result from what I could see when digging details out.

I have not had chance to fairly compare my speaker setup with other AVR's, but suffice to say, I am really impressed and the sony has absolutely no issue driving my setup. Sounds wonderful so sound wise not at all disappointing.

Not had any issues with ARC with latest update though connected to my current Samsung QLED and and I auditioned with same set up with a B9 OLED. Turns on and off with the TV fine and audio has not been an issue.

Thank you. Going to RS soon, as they seem to have a slight discount for the Sony and Denon both. But going to get the 6 year guarantee with what ever I get so if any issues it can be returned/swapped to a different.
