Sony Sued Again.

Some of these patents are mad, from what i can grasp of that particular patent, they have basically just described an optical disk with data written to it and stamped 'THAT'S OURS!' on it.

Surely they must have tried and sued when DVDs and CDs came out too, they fall under that patent. Also, why has just Sony got to cease manufacturing? There are several companies involved in the creation and ownership of blu-ray and there are several companies producing hardware that can utilize them.

The more i look at this the more i think they're just fishing for money.

I mean, they spell charts with a Z, that tells you the target demographic tbh.

1. You are not a MOD, you don't tell people what to do.
2. If you have a problem with a thread/post/named person you can report it to a MOD who will look into it.
 
Thanks for all your support everyone.
The forum to me is to be able to post news good or bad for all the consoles.
If it is not then if i posted my ps3 or my 360 died i could be called a troll for spreading bad news.
 
A little off topic, but fanboyism (if you will) works like this:

Bill: Good news! Final Fantasy 23 will be released on the PS3/360/whatever
Joe: AWESOME! I can't wait!
Harry: The games are terrible! I don't agree with everyone else's opinion or reviews, the games DO suck. And the console sucks too! don't you know that the maker of this console actually kill little rabbits for fun! thats how evil the company is!

Translation: OH NOES! I really want to play this game, but I don't have the console - so I must without logic defend my choice to the hilt, and find some random reason true or not, to throw at it as an argument!
