Sony Vaio A115M max ram

Hi there.
anyone know why Sony Vaio A115M can only take 1gig of ram as is states on the web it has had a bios update but i suupose the only way is to try 2 one gig sticks of pc2700 but would be expencive as i have to buy just thought someone may have upgraded theres.

why would you need to "try" 1gb sticks, it will take them as it states. I don't think anymore is possible in this laptop due to 2Gb sticks not being available when this thing was made its pretty old now. So the mainboard just wont see them.
