About 18 months ago I made the foolish mistake of buying a Sony Laptop, something I always told myself I should never do! Anyway, the hard disk seems to have failed and I am unable to restore it from the backup disks, something I have managed with success before it went down.
So, first question, does anyone have the slightest idea where the Hard Disk is located? I bought a workshop manual from eBay, and that was useless and I have removed every single screw and still I am no wiser, finding everything else bar the bloody hard disk
Could anyone who knows this laptop give me a few pointers? I am not a ludite, have built plenty of PC's with success but not at the level of some of you chaps and when it comes to this flipping thing I have no idea. Also, does anyone know where I can download a self booting CD for disk repair and diags, all legal of course as I am aware they are out there.
