Having an issue with a Sony Vaio PCG-8R1M. I need to install a brand spanker OS on it but the screen is broken. This causes an issue in getting to the boot options menu to boot from the CD as the external screen doesn't operate until the current (broken) OS has booted.
Does anyone know if the external screen will run when in bios/cd boot mode? If it does can I have a brief timescale and the button to press to boot it to disc?
