Sony VAIO FW56E

Hi I brought the sony vaio fw56e laptop from overclockers yesterday and i have this very strange buzzing noise from the back of the monitor.

Is this normal??

That doesn't sound normal. You should ring up overclockers and speak to someone about that.

it'll be the inverter for the backlight most probably. my vaio does it when i have the backlight set at 50%...strangle, it doesnt do it when its right down or 100% lol. pressing the casing in where the buzzing is coming from normally suppresses it. Mine's a few years old though - i wouldnt accept this on a new laptop.
