Sony Vegas render issue (not enough memory)

So I'm trying to render a 3 minute video into a 720p format I've got some decent setting I received from a tutorial on YouTube but when I get about 50% through rendering I get this error.

"The system is low on memory. You may be able to reduce memory usage by closing other applications"

I have tried to render this video about 5 times now with no prevail, I googled the error and tried to change my second hard drive (Sony Vegas is installed on it) RAM's page file to 1024MB but this still didn't help. The worst part is I have 9GB of RAM and I'm apparently out of space even though task manager says I'm only using 38%.

P.S. I'm using Sony Vegas 10.0

Have you disabled your pagefile?

Set it as 'system managed'

I worded my post badly

I didn't see that you had changed your pagefile

Set it to 'System managed' and not 1gb

Restart PC, try again

It's not that, Sony Vegas is a 32bit application and can only use a max of 2.8GB. there is a 64bit "hack" that can be found on the official Vegas forums here with a How -To

Thats what I did and I've not had a problem since.
