Hi!

I've been fiddling around with Sony Vegas 7 latly making little videos.

I've got a problem with rendering however to do with the audio compression.

Namly it doesn't work. I downloaded LAME mp3 encoder and installed it. Tried compressing with it and it just crashed vegas.

Question: What would you suggest to compress audio and what codecs to use as i've been stuck for an hour now trying to make this thing work?

Edit: Forgot to mention that Uncompressed audio works fine but its not exactly hdd healthy.

As far as I remember you can't compress with lame mp3 in vegas. I haven't used it since version 4.0. but when I used vegas I rendered with wmv for video and audio. You could just render both the video and the audio uncompressed and then run a 2pass xvid encoding with lame in virtualdub.

Ok, thanks for the reply.

I managed to get WMV working fine.

Was a little confused as I had mp3 encoding option before I formatted my pc

Have used VirtualDub before so I will give it a shot :)
