Sony Vegas users - please help

hey guys.
im stuck with vegas atm, and i cannot get it to do what i want

i basically need to chaneg the opascity of a clip on a time line.
just like you can make effects appear and disappear on the time tine, and change velocity... i want to do that with opacity
any ideas?

reason:
i have a clip over a clip
i want the top vclip to fade in and out

heres the video so far to show what i mean... ive done it ( the long way ) once ( look for the parts with the wire frames )

Hover over the corner of the clip in the film strip, then click and drag the cursor over the other clip?

Dont forget you need to have the transitition button pressed on the tool bar at the top for this to work (its the one that looks like 2 triangles facing each other)

its a composite envelope i was looking for !
just looking in the wrong place... i can get back to work now
