Hello Again,
I ordered the blu-ray external drive, loaded it and it plays just fine - however I keep getting a blue screen of death error when the laptop has been running a short while. I think the problem must have already been there and don't think it is anything to do with the external disk drive.
The little girl whose computer it is has learning difficulties and downloads all sorts of programs. I have cleared off umpteen viruses and other programs and downloaded Avast!, C-Cleaner, and because IE kept crashing I downloaded Firefox with a cookie muncher add-on. I have cleared off a load of rubbish and stopped the popup ads, etc., but still keep getting the blue screen. She also has a music program called spotify not sure if that might be causing the problem.
I thought of trying to delete everything bar the original programs but think that would be a long drawn out process unless there is an easier way of going about it.
Is it worth restoring to factory settings or will I lose windows 7 and other important software - there don't appear to be any disks so I presume it was bought pre-ploaded?
Suggestions appreciated
