This is an interesting time. I wouldn't mind seeing Microsoft retain their original model as they have hinted at. The reason for this is that I would like to see
a) the amount it sells to consumers compared/contrasted to ps4 model
b) how much money the sony ps4 make from the choice to trust the consumer in a market where it will be easier to pirate games than the xbox one (at least for a little while)
c) who publishers will likely to swing towards to generate the cash needed to profit and/or continue making games.
d) and ultimately if reselling one's dic games REALLY harms the developers/publishers (If it means more ps4 consoles are sold the difference in lost sales might be negligible?)
That's if ps4 even outsells xbox, which I am assuming.
