I've searched and there doesnt seem to be a thread for these
From what I can tell they are the main competitor to the Apple Airpod pro so find it hard to believe no-one has created one yet.

I've ordered a pair of WF-1000XM4 earphones which are due to arrive today.

They are to replace my Apple Airpod gen1 which only last about 1.5 hours now. The gen 1 Airpods stay in my ears fine and sound great to me. My only gripe is they drop out my ears slowly when running and I start sweating, when the sweat slowly goes into my ears. (anyone know if you can get Airpod gen 1 / gen 2 pod covers that are more resistent to sweat?)

I tried some (my girlfriends) Apple Airpod pros and I can't get the correct fit at all, even trying all the different sized silicon buds the fit test always comes back yellow. I have to press them into my ears for the fit test to go green.
In comparison to gen 1 Airpods they just sound flat / weak which I guess is down to the earbud seal. My girlfriend says they sound great and the noise cancelling works perfectly - she can't hear me when i'm talking to her, right next to her :D

My ideal buds would be Airpod gen 1 with water/sweat resistence and noise cancelling. With that in mind I also ordered some Airpod gen 2s aswell as they are the only ones that are the same shape to the gen 1. At least the battery life will be good again.

I am slightly worried the 1000XM4s will be slightly annoying to take in and out my ears and also create a banging sound when running due to the seal. We'll see as hopefully they work great for casual out and about wearing and gym / running.

Can anyone with the WF-1000XM4s confirm/deny they are happy with them during exercise and they dont drop out or create and strange thumping noises - jogging / running / sprinting specifically

I really dont like headphones on my head. After like an hour I just find them uncomfortable on my ears.

I have been tempted to get these for use with my PC, work laptop and phone. Basically use for everything from headset on calls, to gaming on PC.

Ill be really interested to hear how you find them.
I'm exactly the same, i've tried (bought and sold / returned) load of headphones over the years.

I have Beyerdynamic 1770 pros but could never use them for hours of music listening. They're my Warzone cans  Usually fine for an hour or so but even then my head and ears get warm.
For years I had Sennheiser CX300 (original good ones) earphones and could wear them for hours without any problems at all, even slept with them in sometimes. If Sennheiser made a wireless, noise cancelling version that were sweat/water resistent then they would be perfect. I'll let you know when they arrive which should be in a couple hours. If I have to fart around shaping the XM4s so they fit in my ears then it's a no go. Airpods are a no hassle in and out with good enough seal for casual listening out and about. I dont think I would use either on my PC due to using a Soundblaster G6 (unless this supports bluetooth devices and im unaware) Hmmm, it appears it does 'Bluetooth 4.0 support' 'Bluetooth multipoint profile (two devices). A2DP, AVRCP, HFP'
Off to test with Airpods...

I personally wouldnt recommend the Sony WF-1000XM4. Earphones and headphones are very personal, much like watches.

To me the 1000XM4 provide a good seal but there is a very strong feeling of 'fullness' in the head which feels like a bad cold and probably takes a lot of getting used to. I guess this is similar with all sealed earphones but i've just forgotten.

The sound quality is great and noise cancelling too is very good but it just sort of hurts for me at least. Maybe hurts is a wrong description, its more like blocked nose / feeling mild headache.
I'm sure I would get used to this but when I went on a quick run the booming / thudding with every step is something I cannot cope with. Back they go and ill keep the gen 2 airpods

Thanks for sharing. Shame they didnt work out. I hear such rave reviews for them usualy.

Have you ever used the Airpods with a Windows PC? I have heard good things about them... but not owning anything Apple, not sure they fit my eco-system.
Me too but think it's just my ears / me being used to open earphones instead of having a full seal.
I've just connected them now, takes less than a minute

Bluetooth & other devices, add, hold apple button on case and select them. Thats them paired and they show up as 'Headset' and 'headphones' in Sound settings in control panel. One thing about Apple devices, they really know how to make them work well with as little fiddling with settings as possible.
