I'd been fixated on gaming headsets but really, gaming is low importance, so I should have been liking at audio companies for headsets.

Really what I needed was a pair of wireless cans with a microphone.

These will cover conference calls at work
Online Gaming sessions (dnd and boardgames mainly)
As well as maybe pc gaming too (least important)
General stuff like being in kitchen cooking

Anything beat these?

Pluses for over others
Multi point
Great sound quality

Unless anyone has any strong views it does seem like I should be looking in this area rather than gaming stuff? Feels like it.

Ugh.

Apparently these headphones have some issue with PCs. Something with quality dropping to mono when you need to use the microphone?

A big reason for me getting them was to be able to use them for conference calls and music wireless.

Other people suggest buying a separate mic. But that breaks my user case

I have the XM3's. I have used mine for calls with the phone, I have also used them for gaming on the PC.

Apparently you cant use the game audio and mic at the same time on PC, which seems strange.

This page has lots of info, its for the XM3's but I am going to assume its the same.

Sounds like you need to look for a different solution.

Thanks for that.

Looks like There isn't a solution. That's crazy. I didn't know bluetooth couldn't handle the high fidelity audio and mic simultaneously.

I already have a pair of wired headphones and mic I use at my desk.

I wonder if it's even worth bothering with pursuing this..

Closest you can get is a gaming headset, which you can't take out and about. Because of the proprietary receiver.

No solutions. I'm shocked

You can plug them in, unsure if that would work, kind of misses the point though.

Yeah I have wired cans and a microphone already for at my desk. Which are better than these.

I wanted these for those long conference calls where I can go downstairs etc. Also for listening or and about and for discord and boardgame sessions with friends. But if they don't do the job they don't do the job.

Thanks.

I think I'm gonna just scrap the idea.
It's too much to spend for a sub par experience

Most options seem include 'get a mic' which basically means you have a setup with the limits of both wireless and wired.

Ill make do with my headphones, amp and microphone I use now. I'm still shocked in 2020 what I want can't be achieved
