Hi all.

After using 2 pairs of headphones with either a W1 or H1 chip in it now feels like a real chore to pair my beats studio 2 wireless to a different device (you first have to disconnect them from the device they are connected to and then connect them to the device you want to listen on).

Which way do the Sony’s operate?

Many thanks.

I have the in ear wf-1000xm3, and they can pair with up to 8 devices at the same time, so I'd imagine these would be the same, if not better. You just pair with whatever other device you want. I think they prefer to connect to whatever the last paired device was, but I haven't really tested it. If they connect to the wrong device, you can just select them in the bluetooth menu of the device you want to connect to, you don't need to pair again.

Apparently with a bit of fiddling you can connect them to 2 devices at the same time, so you can be using it as headphones on a PC, and it will connect to a phone when a call comes in.

As far as I'm aware you can have more than 1 device saved but it's manual switching between devices.

The new Xm4's out shortly may change that

Check out the surface headphones 2. £240 and with support for 2 devices simultaneously.
