i'm in need of a new phone as my xperia zx premium from 2018 is definitely showing its age.
I've had a few sony phones over the years and always been impressed on how long they last, so have been looking at the xperia V 1. Has anyone got or used one and have any thoughts on how good they are. Is thermal throttling still a problem like on some xperia IV phones?

It's bad value for money if you pay anywhere near the list price but it is a great phone, mainly because it's different. You have the 21:9 aspect ratio which makes it feel way smaller than it actually is, 4k 120fps recording on all of the cameras, headphone jack and SD slot too. The overheating is solved on this model as the CPU is a lot more efficient than the one in the IV.

If you like something a bit different and a bit quirky then I would say you will really like it. Something Sony do need to improve though is how long they offer software updates for.
Good to know, thanks.
I've always liked Sony phones, I definitely want a headphone jack and sd card slot. The Camera options look good.
I'm not planning on buying it at full price, I'll look for a second hand one or see if any large discounts come up.
