My last 3 z3 had them, all went back to Sony for warranty replacements, would have thought they resolved the issue by now

Had to wait a week for the new handset to arrive.

New Google releases always have at least one catastrophic bug. Best to let the Nexus lot beta test before everyone else. Google fixed the mobile battery drain, only to replace it with wi fi battery drain in Marshmallow.

There are defective handsets out there. lmfy2k has had 3 defective screens and you've had 3 handsets but none of them had the issue, lucky lucky you....

I'm still hoovering over the order button for the Z5. I'm not that concerned with the size, but the edges between the frame and front and back glass panels would make the phone feel much better if they were smoothed. As it is the phone feels a bit odd in the hand compared to my current HTC One. Build quality on the Z5 does seem really good however.

What ever phone I go for, my biggest issue is going to be how to replace Blinkfeed with. I actually find it really handy for news (tech and gaming) at a glance.

My z3 has a whopping white area which is more easily seen when you have a darker background image.

Mate get it fixed if it's still under warranty. No one should pay over £500 and be subjected to a sub standard screen.

it may well be under warranty. contact sony to have it repaired/replaced

Is it normal to have little to no signal and when on a call, it goes back up to having almost full signal?

Seems If you wait for the tripod icon to appear in Superior Auto night mode you can get much better low light shots, although I guess it'll only appear If you have somewhat steady hands.

If the camera detects no subject or camera movement it'll lower the iso and slow down the shutter.

As no one seems to go into the Z3 threads anymore I thought I'd ask in here - has anyone had their screen or back glass replaced by Sony and know the cost? They charge £20 to return the phone if I don't approve their repair quote but I'm not going to send it in if it's going to cost almost as much as the phone is worth to replace them.

Got one arriving today, actually! Was expecting shipping on 20th, but had message last night that it is out with DPD today

Had my eye on the Premium, fancied a change as I have had my M9 for at least 6 months, and found a cracking deal (usually just buy outright handsets, but this unlocked phone with tidy 2yr contract was only around £120 more over 2yrs, and the SIM will go in to my eldest daughter's phone).

Yeah I spotted some very tasty deals online and been itching to upgrade from my Note 3, think I'll wait for a few days for reviews to pop up from reputable places. Be very interested in your first impressions once you get it though!
