Hello,
Really cant get my head around this one, any ideas would be appreciated!

Basically, for the past week or so, everytime I boot I get a CMOS error (saying CMOS Settings Wrong; Time/Date Not Set) and for the past 4 days, Ive been getting a mesage about "New CPU installed - go and configure your system" despite the fact I havent touched this PC in months!

Regards,
Cookeh

Try using a jumper then booting it, to reset everything, i this does not work i agree with Crowort, you can pick the batterys up dirt cheap from most places :D

Have you gone into the BIOS and just saved the settings to see if the message goes away? Could be the machines taken a bump and discharged the CMOS. If you have then yeah, you're battery is probably goosed.

I have. No improvement.
And battery was what I was thinking - no idea where to get one from though
