anything you would change?

thankyou :)

Nice list, only suggestion I would make is on the cpu, i'd go for the 240 @2.80GHz and overclock, it can get to 3GHz easy on the stock cooler, and 3.4GHz on an aftermarket one.

What operating system do you plan on using?

planning on using windows 7 64bit (have the disc somewhere) from my pc that got stollen :/

and i am a complete noob at everything. the most i "put together" a pc is plugging the cables in the back :P looking to challenge myself abit this time! will take a look at that cpu tho as i plan on getting an aftermarket cooler soon :)

seems that would be downgrading the cpu? kinda confuses me abit :P

Putting it together is pretty simple, its installing the software afterwards that can become a bit of a pain, especially if the BIOS needs to be flashed.

Make sure to ground yourself properly when making it.

Both of those CPU's come with thermal paste pre-applied on the heatsink, but if you plan on getting an after market one, don't forget you will have to get some thermal paste (Y) :)

Yes the 240 is slightly slower than the 245, but they are basically the same CPU, except the speed is set higher when its made, so if you set the speed higher yourself when you get it, it saves you a bit of money.

haha yea i have some arctic silver 5 from a friend. pretty much most of a tube. more than enough :P

still not too sure why it would be better to downgrade the cpu? if you could explain that would be of great help :)

edit: thanks :)

can i just quickly ask, what does it mean if the bios needs to be "flashed" ?

Its basically a BIOS update, but because the BIOS is installed on a 'flash memory' chip, its called 'flashing'. Its not advised to update the BIOS unless you are enduring problems with your current BIOS, as it can cause problems if dont incorrectly

i know u said the cors 400w.. but if this IS actualy good. it would mean 1 less thing to buy if i upgrade to anything more powerful :)

and i trust... OCuk to not sell crap :) will post a review next week if i can :)
