After 4 weeks of pondering over what parts to buy (decision hindered by funds, isnt it always).

I have just now purchased the following:
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz
EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB Superclocked "Crysis Edition" GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB)
Samsung SH-S203NBEBN 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer Lightscribe ReWriter (Black)
Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler
Samsung Spinpoint T 500GB Sata
Antec P182
Corsair HX 520w Modular PSU

Cant wait to fit it all together.

Just bought the same CPU/RAM/Cooler/MOBO. In fact you bought everything I bought and more (I already had the other bits :D )

Will be building mine tomorrow!

Oh I bought 2 packs of that RAM though ;)

I've ordered a similar setup, hopefully it should be here by the end of the week. I went for an Abit IP-35, an 8800GTS (couldn't find stock at the place I ordered from of the GT) and an Antec 900. Let us know how it goes :)

Looks a great spec :) only thing i might change is 2gig ram to 4gig. you can always add more later on though. I think the CPU and GPU are spot on.

Yeah I wanted to get 4gb of ram, but decided I will wait until the 1066mhz drops in price and then get 4gb of this and chuck the 2gb 800mhz ram.

Dont panic I have it all covered...haha

Will post pictures at each stage.

Watch this space.

With that cooler I dont think you would be able to reach a speed which would make use of faster ram, could be wrong though. I like the freezer 7 though as its silent for me @800rpm ;)

Ah......

That is something I had not fully considered, thanks for the heads up fobose.

If worse comes to worse I will have to purchase a bigger/better cpu cooler when that time arises.

Definately something worth noting though.
