I started playing football regularly about 2 months ago, twice a week, 5 a side on tuesday and 8 a side astroturf on thursdays along with the odd game or 2 at weekends.

Its the first sport ive done as a hobby since i quit motocross due to injury.

I wont lie, im ridiculously unfit, however there is a noticeable difference now than there was 2 months ago, i feel and am a lot fitter, but nothing like i need/should be.

Now to my problem. I have started to get quite sore around my ankles, primarily around the sides and my achilles tendon.

I do around 10 to 15minutes warming up and stretching before i even kick a ball, is this enough?

What stretch excercises should be done around the ankle/lower leg area?

Is this something i should be worried about or is it just a stage that i need to push through? I can still play, but it hinders performance and eventually i end up not being able to run, or at least not sprint.

Thanks for any advice, if you need to know more that ive not added let me know
