I took my private plate off my old Focus last Saturday and put it on retention and the Focus has been reassigned it's original plate. I want to SORN the Focus and get the tax refund for the months of Feb through to October as I'll be keeping it off the road for a while.
Is there anyway to SORN a vehicle without the V5C? as obviously the reference number on the old V5C bearing the private plate is now invalid.
I was hoping the new V5C would come today but alas it hasn't as postie has been so looks like I'm going to lose out on February's tax refund.
Yes I should have SORNed it first but didn't occur to me.
