With the spec below -

Intel Core 2 DUO E6400
Asus P5N-E SLi nForce 650
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB

Shall I get the -

Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit (BL2KIT12864AA804)

Or the -
Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX (2x1GB)

Or lastly the -
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC5300 667MHz Value DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB5300DC)

So many to choose from  I have done a fair bit of reading but it lead me to confusion more than anything lese :(

I'm leaning towards Ballistix atm

Thanks

OCZ PC2-8800 (1100MHz) Gold Edition around £85 per 1gb stick £162 for 2x 1 gig.Which is the d9 chip.
Matches the Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8888C4 TwinX (2x1GB) Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8888C4 TwinX (2x1GB) £446.49
When set to 4-4-4-12 and 2.4-2.5 V

afaik the ballistix uses micro d9 chips also as Crucial is the trading name for Micron Technology? Pretty much means Crucial and Micron are the same company if I am correct

Yip Crucial are Microns direct-selling arm.

Tbh the pc5300 Crucial Ballistix is the stuff to go for atm.

It's so much better than the Geil and Corsair pc6400, and it's not far off the pc6400 Ballistix. It might even be as good as it (my pc5300 does 1050mhz, others are seeing over 1100mhz).
