If noise is important then fair enough. However, the Artic Freezer is quite capable of cooling an overclocked Q6600 @ 3.2GHz below 58c.. It's not that noisy either but it is audible.. Bear in mind though, the GPU fan will be noiser.
My eventual goal is to have a fairly quite PC so I'll most likely change out the graphics card cooler for the Zalman VF900-CU or similar. I already have a couple of Noctua case fans, and whilst they don't shift mass and mass of air they seem to move enough.
PSU wise I already have an Antec TruePower Trio 550 Watt - I am assuming this is adequate for my needs from what others are running on them.
