Guys it’s only just dawned on me that the last few GP I’ve not been able to watch in UHD . Anyone else confirm the red button is not giving them this option .

Feel that Sky are selling me short again.

Sky Q UHD working fine for me here. Possibly an issue with the cable you're using if it doesn't support 4k?

Ok thx . Very odd as Im getting UHD for films but not live sport . I’ve called them and the idiot on the phone has told me it’s not being broadcast in UHD !

I record it, but if I wish to watch it live I go to 406 and when that channel is selected it pops up a message that it's also I uhd so all you have to do is select it. The red button is for other features isn't it?

I honestly struggle to the difference between HD and UHD with Sky to be honest. Very underwhelming

Depends on the panel , mainly HDR makes nice difference if have high end TV or oled

Cheaper sets HDR hardly makes any difference

HDR on Netflix Drive to survive is superb on the TV I have. On Sky for F1 and football it makes very little difference for me.

UHD vs HD F1 was a night and day difference on our TV. The level of detail added was really noticeable.

Dunno whether it works the same in the UK, but here in Germany the Sky F1 channel is not in UHD, there's a separate Sky Sports UHD channel that you need to change to?

As @cuke2u said above, for Sky UK viewers we go to channel 406, which is in HD, then press Select to go to UHD.

I'm not super bothered about 4k in general, but the F1 does look loads better in UHD HDR with the reflected highlights off the cars, looks ace on OLED.

UHD HDR is incredible with F1, for this you need to put your Sky Box resolution in 2160p 10bit mode.

Just imagine how much better it would be if it was in Dolby Vision rather than HLG though.

By the way just a heads up, Channel 853 gives direct access to the UHD content without having to either press the Red button or Select for UHD from Channel 406.

They first need to fix the poor image quality on non UHD channels when your box is set to 4k res, having to go back to 1080p after consuming UHD content is just an annoying chore, even with the shortcut.

Yep, you would have thought that the Q box would know that you were watching a 1080p source and change the output to 1080p.
