My son has decided that he needs a laptop in his life to mostly play games and maybe a small amount of school stuff.
However, his budget is £750 and I quickly found out looking in the OCUK laptop section that a proper gaming laptop is a lot more.
He wants to play games like TF2 and The Forest (?).
Am I wasting my time looking for such a laptop or can some kind person recommend a model to me?
Oh, and it needs to be new.

Thanks. :)

I would have a look on the main sites of the typical laptop retailers (Dell, HP, etc). For £750 you should be able to get a laptop with a pretty decent graphics chip. Look for something with at least a Geforce 750M. That seems to do OK for gaming in Medium settings.

Check here for Geforce 750M benchmarks: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-750M.90245.0.html

'Dedicated' gaming laptops like the ones at OCUK will let you game in top settings, but are obviously very expensive!

After having a quick look around, your best best will be one of the custom Clevo builders. £750 just about buys a 17" full HD laptop with an i5 and 860m graphics.
