Hey all,

Im trying to free up some space on my HDD, it is the boot HDD with Windows and all my files on. Is there any way of seeing all the files on the HDD and sorting the list by file size? Im intrigued to see how big some files are and ultimately delete some unwanted stuff to free up space.

Is there a way of doing it in command prompt or windows explorer or a third party program?

Its Windows 7 btw.

Cheers!

Thanks for replies guys.

Ive just tried Treesize but how can I list every file in size order without them being sorted into their folders?

For example, it lists all the folders and each folders contents with each file in size order but how do I list every file on the HDD without them being 'sub' divided into their folders.

Hmmmm, how to describe this...

This is how it is being shown now:

Folder A
File 1 - 1mb
File 2 - 2mb
File 3 - 3mb

Folder B
File 4 - 4mb
File 5 - 5mb
File 6 - 6mb

This is the view Im trying to get:

File1 - 1mb
File2 - 2mb
File3 - 3mb
File4 - 4mb
File5 - 5mb
File6 - 6mb

Ah gotcha, I thought it was a typo.

So if I search

size:

Without the 'gigantic' it will show every file from 0kb upwards?
