Hey People.

As my title says I'm a bit of a noob nowadays. I used to be a moderator on the Ninjamicros forums years ago, overclocking Slot A Athlons!!! Is Berkswolf on here?

Anyway, recently put together a budget machine. MSI X470 Gaming Max Plus, Crucial Ballistix 3200cl16 16GB Ryzen 2400g (decent cooler)
I played with Ryzenmaster and squeezed a little extra out of it. Then found a cheap 3400g and again with Ryzenmaster got 4.1cpu and 1700gpu easy clock and safe. Sold that and acquired the 4650g.

Now Ryzenmaster wont have the 4650g, it says unsupported (tried everything to get it to run) so this leaves me having to overclock using the bios. This is where my knowledge is limited. I have read the 4650g loves fast tight ram like 3800/4000 cl16 or even faster. If I buy some faster ram will my X470 mobo handle it? Should I upgrade to a X570??
If I decide to have a play, how do I make changes in the bios? I have the latest beta bios.

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

If you remember me from Ninjamicros...say hey!

It’ll likely have similar settings to change in the bios as a 3400g would, or a 3600 ... all quite similar. So google would be your friend there. I’m surprised it’s not supported.

edit, google suggests that you’re not alone and no real fix either
