Sorting a list over multiple columns - Excel

Hi guys,

As above, I have a list of about 1000 random values, spread over 6 or so tightly formatted columns (for 1 page printing purposes) that I would like to sort.

Something like this at the end...

a g m
b h n
c i o
d j p
e k q
f l r

Any ideas?

Custom sort ? Depends what the data is.

Sorry, that example didn't format very well!

The data is text, random words, all starting with the same letter (A-Z), part of a custom dictionary

Will take a long list on sheet one, column A, and sort it in the way you're looking for (I think).

ctrl-shift-g to run.

I just threw it together so nothing fancy, you'll need to sort the long list before running.
