Hey all,

We have a list in Excel at work of different projects and data next to them.

I know that you can highlight all the names and list them alphabetically - however the data next to the name won't change. (See below)

How can I list all of these items alphabetically and the data follow the titles.

Here's an example of what I mean...

NAME | DATA ONE | DATA TWO
Project 1 | 111222 | 222111
Project 3 | 321321 | 123123
Project 2 | 111112 | 211111

I need Project 2 to be the second one but I need the data (111112 & 211111) to join it.

Thanks,

Marky

Mate thats the long way around. Your problem is you are highlighting the data or column to be sorted therefore it is only sorting that.

Simply click any cell in the column you wish to sort (without highlighting anything) and then press the Sort button on the toolbar A/Z. Excel will now sort that column and maintain the record structure throughout all columns.

Ahh perfect thanks! :D
