Hi,
I was wondering if its possible to connect my Audigy 4 sound card to an external decoder, via coaxial SPDIF or optical?
Is it possible somehow? or am I forced to use my onboard sound?

Cheers

can't you just connect the spdif out on the sound card to the spdif in on the decoder?
Thats what I was planning to do, but the Audigy 4 has no coaxial or optical out ports on it.

creative sell a digital 1/0 module http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=16&product=1780 not sure if that is what you are after
That looks to be exactly what I need, although almost £20 is a bit of a **** take tbh. Thanks anyways :)

Look closely at your manual. I had my amp. connected to an Audigy 2zs using a minijack to RCA adaptor (£1.99 from a high street seller of electricals). I'm fairly certain that your sound card has an spdif jack but you'll have to send me your manual before I could be certain of that.
