Sound Blaster X7 Problem?

Hey guys,

I have an issue with my Sound Blaster X7. This issue has never happened before until recently. Iv'e just built a new PC and if i have the X7 connected to the PC via USB which i have always connected it, the PC will not boot. Stay on a blank screen. Once i turn the X7 off the PC boot into windows.

Iv'e tried everything i can to resolve this issue but cant. Once in Windows i can turn the X7 on and it works just fine. Once i go to reboot , the PC will just stay at a blank screen until i turn off the X7. Messed in bios and turn on and off USB legacy, boot order and USB power but nothing will work. Any ideas please?

I'm using the Intel Core i9 9900K CPU and MSI Z390 MEG GODLIKE MOBO

Hi

No i'm not using a USB hub. It plugged directly into the motherboard USB ports. Tried all the ports and get the same result. Yeah updated the firmware on the device plus the mobo bios. Don't solve the issue. If the X7 is on and you go to turn the PC on, it will go through the boot process then stay hanged at a blank screen. Once i press the X7 power button off, it resumes boot into windows.

Thanks for reply. Already tried that. Still wont boot. Removed all but the boot drive which is samsung m.2 nvme.

Hi, yes it's USB 3.0 its plugged in. All USB ports on this mobo are 3.0 apart from the 2 case ports which use the USB 2.0 mobo headers. But even when using them, it does the same.
